Clay Crawford is an AV rated attorney (www.Martindale.com <http://www.martindale.com/>) with substantial jury trial experience in state and federal courts throughout Missouri and Kansas. Clay has successfully argued cases in the Eastern and Western Districts of the Missouri Court of Appeals and Missouri Supreme Court. Since joining the firm, Clay has focused his practice on insurance litigation, the defense of personal injury claims, construction defect litigation, commercial disputes and general trial practice. Previously, Clay served as an officer of Employers Reinsurance Corporation where he conducted more than 75 audits and due diligence studies of property and casualty claims operations throughout the United States. In addition to his trial practice, Clay serves as an ad junct professor of insurance law at the UMKC School of Law. He has been a frequent lecturer on the subject of insurer extra-contractual liability, uninsured and underinsured motorist law and various other litigation related topics.
Of Note
Clay appeared on the Dean's List each semester of his academic career and was a multiple AmJur Award recipient in law school. He also was a member of the ABA Negotiation Team and was selected to the Order of the Bench & Robe after graduating in the top ten percent of his class. As an undergraduate, Clay was a University Scholar at the University of Missouri and a member of Beta Theta Pi.
Community Involvement
Clay and his wife, Elizabeth, are the proud parents of four children. Clay is active in his church, has served as a youth sports coach, and has served as Director of UCP of Kansas City, a charitable organization dedicated to providing housing and services to persons with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.
